It is the halfway point in the 12 x 12 in 2012 writing challenge created by Julie Hedlund. My goal is to write 12 picture book manuscripts in 2012. Thankfully, the experience has gone very well thus far and I have written six manuscripts including the Three Ghost Friends e-books and over 30 activity ideas to extend the books.
I am so thankful for the six months of writing while being surrounded by a supportive and FUN community of 12x12ers! This experience has been an inspiration! I look forward to the rest of the year and wish all my new friends "Good Luck" with their writing.
There is still a lot of time left in 2012 and if you are interested exploring this writing challenge visit Julie's blog and let her know that you are interested in participating! Additionally, Julie mentioned in an interview on Beth Stilborn's blog that there will be a 12 x 12 in 2013! Get on the mailing list!

DeleteWow Eric! Very productive six months for you...I haven't dared a venture into activity books but it sounds like fun. I'm an old retired 5th grade teacher, and used to illustrate my exams in American History with cartoons! (including clues to answers on the test...) Kids loved it. Got to check out the 3-Ghosts pieces.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, and wishing you a good six months hence.
Congrats Eric...you have certainly been productive. Writing activities for a book is difficult. I admire your ability to do so! Keep up the good work! Sorry it's taken me so long to get through the list. It's a busy time for me...
