Fun with Ghost Dough!

An activity we have been wanting to try for a long time is Cloud Dough! I had many choices of recipes from bloggers on Pinterest.  I chose to use the recipe at Juggling with Kids.

We will be calling the Cloud Dough, Ghost Dough, for the rest of the post!

What you will need:
1. Mixing Tub
2. 8 Cups of White Flour
3. 1 Cup of Baby Oil
4. Measuring Cups
5. A old sheet to cover the floor
6. Aprons for your children
7. A copy of the e-books - Three Ghost Friends: Learn About Colors and Three Ghost Friends: Learn About Opposites

My wife took the lead with this project! Thank You!
1 Cup of Baby oil was added to the bin.
Then, eight cups of flour.
We used our hands to mix the flour and the baby oil.  Juggling With Kids suggests mixing for 3-5 minutes.  I found this to be true.
The Ghost Dough was a blast! My kids described it as soft and fluffy but they were surprised that you could squeeze it together to form and build.  They also referred to it many times as sand.  We pushed and pressed the Ghost Dough into old plastic containers just like we were building a sand castle at the beach.
But, instead of a sand castle we made Three Ghost Friends! My daughter cut black construction paper  for the eyes and mouths!
My youngest son loved playing with it too!  He enjoyed dumping the Ghost Dough into different sized containers.
